David, First, let me say that in all of my research, your website was the most helpful to me and very interesting and informative. We live in southeast Michigan. We have had roof work completed within the past year, and since have had several encounters with bats (mainly in our garage). So we are currently in the stage of trying to find entry points. We haven't found guano anywhere (and we've searched the perimeter of our home and roof thoroughly). We have found fur at what we believe may be an entry point (on the roof). Is it possible for bats to leave behind fur when they enter or exit? We are preparing to inspect the attic today, so more will be revealed. My response: Bats will not leave behind fur. Watch your house at dusk to find out where they are flying out. The only way to solve a bat problem is to seal up all their entry holes permanently.
