I have communicated with our bat expert in Tucson for many years, and he abides by these bat removal principles:
- Always perform a proper live exclusion.
- Never use poisons or fumigants or kill bats.
- Never use traps or attempt to relocate bats.
- Never do a removal during the maternity season.
- Seal all entry points shut with guarantee.
- Offer attic cleanup and decontamination.
- Properly Arizona licensed and insured.
Before you hire anyone, including our tech at 520-336-9431, talk to them, and make sure that they understand what they are doing, and that they have experience. Be sure that they do abide by the principles I outlined above. This is not just for the sake of the bats - I'm no tree hugger - it's for the sake of doing the job correctly, for you and your property. The fact that it's good for the bats as well is a lucky coincidence. And really, bats are good animals, which I'm sure you realize. I hope you have a good experience with your Tucson bat control project. You can email me personally if you have any problems with our tech, and I will talk to him, but I doubt that will be necessary. Good luck!

We have seen bats around our place in Tucson AZ and now we happen to have smell in our garage. It smells like pack rat. Is that what bat poop smells like? I am trying to convince my husband that we may have a bat problem but he just seems to think it is a pack rat. Can you tell me if bat poop smells like pack rat poop. As well, there is bat poop in our breezeway outside. How do we clean it up. Should we spray it with water first so the particles don't become airborne? Or can it just be swept out?
We have had a few dats in our house over the last week we got them out by covering them with a cloth I keep the windows closed from 8pm. We had bats in our attic some years ago and we got a hole plugged in the roof under the slates so they don't go in there any more but they now live in the facial soffit. Is there any thing we can do to keep them out of the house like a plug in devise that can be used for other pests.
Hope you can help, a few weeks ago I had a bat in my basement. I believe it entered through a open door that leads to the basement, haven't seen or heard anything since.. I live in a bungalow (1 floor) home, I checked the outside of the home and noticed a small entry point close to the roof line. my plan is to seal the opening. When is the right time to do so? and how will I know that the bats are gone? it's a finished basement and sealed tight.
